I will never force a smile, and there are no awkward poses or silly faces on demand. Just your child, on the day, with gentle direction and plenty of space to be themselves.
The result is a genuine, timeless portrait. It is a world away from the cheesy, over-flashed school photos with busy backdrops and unflattering lighting.
Most importantly, photo day feels light and relaxed for the children. I take real pride in creating an environment where they can settle in, feel comfortable, and let their personality shine through naturally.
My aim is to capture the child in front of the camera, as they really are.
I am not a big, corporate school photography company, and I do not want to be. I take on a select number of schools across Norwich and Norfolk each year so I can give you great communication, a smooth photo day, and beautiful, artistic portraits.
That does not mean you have to compromise on quality, organisation, or turnaround times. It simply means you get a more thoughtful, more tailored experience, for both the school and the families.

Yes, absolutely. If you would like class photos, I can take them on photo day, or we can arrange another time that works better for the school.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes. Not only am I insured I hold current first aid qualifications (in fact, I am qualified to train first aiders too!) and also have a current ongoing DBS check which I am happy to share with you. It's so important to me that children are safe and in the best hands, no matter how long they spend with me.
Do you provide class photos?
I work with each school to schedule photo day at a time that suits you, at any point during the academic year.
WHAT TIME OF YEAR DO YOU CONDUCT THESE FINE ART SCHOOL PHOTO SHOOTS?
My rates are competitive, and there is nothing to pay up front. The school does not need to collect money either, as all sales are made through a private online ordering gallery.

are these images expensive?
I can work with small schools of around 40 pupils, right up to larger schools with 1,000 children. The whole setup is tailored to suit your school, your timetable, and your pupils.
HOW MANY STUDENTS CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE?
I am so glad you asked. My approach is a bit different, and yes, I think it is a lot better.

On photo day, each child will have 2 to 5 images to choose from, shown in both colour and black and white. Families choose the ones they want printed, rather than being given one pose that someone else picked.
I also offer boutique products, including canvas wall art and digital files for future printing and safe keeping. Before the day, the school will receive a clear PDF covering prep and ordering, ready to share with families.
Prints are ordered online and delivered back to the school within four weeks.
I bring everything needed for the day, including all equipment, so it runs smoothly. The school also receives high resolution digital files for yearbooks, the website, marketing, and ID cards.
I handle parent questions about ordering and products, and I can include staff and class photos if needed. Every school is different, so I am happy to tailor things to fit what you need.
How is a Fine Art School Portrait Different than standard school photos?
Everything is handled online. Families receive a secure, private online gallery for ordering.
Galleries are organised in whatever way makes the most sense for your school, for example by year group, class, tutor group, or form.
