I am a mum to twins, and I am completely sick of those school photos that come home out of focus, mid-blink, weird expression, messy uniform… and somehow that is meant to be the photo you keep. I wanted something better for my own children – so I decided to do something about it.

My Approach (and why kids usually enjoy it)

I keep things gentle, quick, and pressure-free.

Children do not need to be told to “perform” for the camera – they just need a little space to settle, a bit of encouragement, and someone who knows how to connect with them.

I have spent 27 years teaching children to swim, so I am very used to helping kids feel comfortable quickly – even if they are shy, wriggly, unsure, or having one of those days. It is amazing what you can get when a child feels safe, seen, and not rushed.

Some children are bold and bubbly. Others are quieter and need a moment. Both are completely welcome here.

The goal is always the same: to capture a portrait that feels natural, confident, and genuinely them.
